Our Services
Ride to Work aims to help employers overcome talent shortages in a competitive labor market by providing the following solutions...
Recruit
Ride to Work partners with local workforce development organizations to develop proprietary candidate pools for employers.
-
We work with employers who currently recruit or plan to recruit from Philadelphia or other urban centers. Instead of competing for talent in the general market, RTW develops a separate and distinct recruitment channel to fulfill employers’ hiring needs.
-
We leverage our strong partnerships with the local workforce development community to develop a Sustainable, On Demand, Scalable (SOS) Candidate Pipeline based on employer need. Over 90 days, RTW works with employers to select the desired number of hires, the seasonality of hiring demand, and the processes and procedures of interviewing and onboarding candidates. Our pipeline focuses on adversely impacted and marginalized (AIM) workers from under-tapped and diverse workforce markets
-
Each candidate recruited through the SOS Pipeline is offered transportation to and from the employer worksite once they start work to avoid any transportation-related attrition. We have an 85% retention rate which involves checking in with employees and case managers over 90 days and beyond if contracted.
-
Ride to Work partners with experts to advise on how employers can receive tax credits for employing workforce development candidates. This significantly improves the overall return on investment for the employer in developing and using the SOS Pipeline.
Transport
Ride To Work connects workforce development agencies, employers, and employees to third-party transportation providers
-
The Commute with Enterprise “van share” model allows employees themselves to be responsible for their vehicles. Employees make arrangements for pick-ups and drop-offs of their co-workers who share the same work shift and site. These “worker” drivers, along with one of their co-workers who serves as their backup driver, are responsible for getting everyone to work on time and home safely. Drivers, in return for their services, are able to use the vehicles for personal use up to a predetermined amount of mileage each month.
-
RTW contracts with local third-party transportation services to provide versatility for our customers. Our primary partner is GPS Transportation. GPS provides a variety of transports including handicap vehicles, trained professional drivers, and logistical support. Our partners give us the versatility in types of transportation services we can provide our customers, as well as the geographical reach that may be needed.
-
For smaller employee pools, commercial ride-sharing services like UBER or Lyft are viable alternatives to either van pools or route pickups. The challenge for most employees in the target population is their lack of access to smartphone technology. This prohibits or greatly inhibits their ability to order and set up UBER accounts. RTW dispatchers can order UBER rides for groups of employees who are all destined for the same work location. RTW dispatchers handle the scheduling, logistics, and follow-up for all rides.
