Timothy Styer

President & CEO

Tim Styer is the founder, President & CEO of Ride To Work LLC. A seasoned business and community leader with a passion for social responsibility, Tim brings extensive management and organizational experience to his work. He holds a degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and is deeply committed to his hometown of Philadelphia. Tim's career consistently reflects his dedication to impactful enterprises, having run or managed socially responsible businesses since 1997.

  • Alongside his entrepreneurial pursuits, Tim actively serves the community, including his current role as Treasurer on the board of UU (Unitarian Universalist) Justice PA.

    His commitment to supporting Philadelphia's most vulnerable populations, particularly those in the reentry community, is a major theme throughout his professional life. Tim was a key advocate for the federal JARC program and the Philadelphia Reentry Coalition. Tim also was a co-founder of the Sustainble Business Network of Greater Philadelphia.  Tim spent a decade at the Philadelphia Unemployment project, managing job development and transportation assistance. His earlier venture, The Service Works Company, directly offered employment and transportation solutions for marginalized individuals in the facilities maintenance industry.

Our Operational Team

  • Naila Mattison serves as RTW’s Director of Community Development, a role which serves as the three way fulcrum amongst RTW stakeholders including our Community Partners, Employee Partners and our candidates. Our central value proposition is the long term placement of candidates sourced from Community Partners at our Employer Partners. This is achieved by a constantly iterating process that Naila manages, ensure all stakeholders are updated and potential obstacles are headed off as early as possible.

    Naila is a technology professional with experience in technology workforce development, apprenticeship and marketing. Of relevance is her focus on on matching clients with companies and increasing diversity and training the next generation of employees, or in the case of marketing, driving significant contact with desired demographic and to marketplace presence. In her most recent position before RTW, Naila worked at JEVS Human Services as an Apprenticeship Navigator, where she was responsible for networking with other workforce developers to use their network with a focus on creating Registered Apprenticeships. In that role, she also worked with the Pre-apprenticeship staff to prepare candidates for employers to interview, and schedule the interviews once an apprentice was selected. Naila earned BA in Broadcasting Telecommunications and Mass Media,

  • Ron’s serves as a Sales consultant focusing on helping Ride To Work’s employer partners develop, and access funding for their training programs.

    Ron is a seasoned consultant with 20+ years in entrepreneurship, training, and HR. He helps businesses thrive through consulting in small business Development, workforce development and human resource management.

    Ron is passionate about empowering others through knowledge and skills development.

  • Letitia is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with over a decade of experience in content creation, campaign development, and strategic planning. At Ride To Work, she leverages her expertise to craft compelling digital content that amplifies the organization and customer’s mission across various social media and digital platforms.

    Letitia's experience extends beyond the digital realm. Her proven track record in exceeding organizational goals is evident in her work at Touch Management, where she serves as a strategic consultant. She excels at developing and implementing creative marketing campaigns for a diverse clientele, including non-profits, small businesses, and faith-based institutions. Her ability to effectively communicate an organization's values and engage target communities has resulted in securing over $40 million in federal and private resources.

    Letitia's commitment to fostering future generations of storytellers is commendable. A champion for diversity and inclusion, she draws upon her multicultural background and international experiences to mentor aspiring content creators and lead community media courses. This dedication reflects her passion for empowering others to leverage the power of storytelling.

    Letitia's well-rounded skillset and strategic approach make her a valuable asset to any organization. Her ability to translate complex ideas into impactful communication strengthens brands and propels them towards achieving their objectives.

  • Narissa Wallace is a seasoned Learning & Development professional with over 20 years of combined experience in Training Management, Curriculum Design and E-Learning Courseware development. As Training Manager for Ride to Work, she oversees the design, development, management and implementation of all training programs.

    In former roles, Narissa designed, developed, managed and implemented a host of training programs and initiatives for internal staff of major corporations, City Government, college personnel, high school staff, students and community residents. Most notable programs include a Greater Philadelphia Regional Computer Certification training program, a Digital Literacy Training program, a Cloud Computing certification training program, a Leadership Training program, a Global Onboarding training program and a Green Energy training program for young adults (18 -25). Narissa has also developed a series of Technical Training programs and eLearning courses for Clinical and Military personnel.

    As President/CEO of Multi-Media Concepts, Inc., Narissa has provided website design services, technical training, support and project management services for the Mayor’s Commission of Philadelphia as well as Non-Profit Organizations, Small Business owners and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) within the Greater Philadelphia Region.

  • MarvaLisa Scott coordinates RTW’s daily transportation activities, which entails working with our transportation partners to ensure that candidates get work safely and on time. She also tracks employee attendance and payments in partnership with our employer partner HR teams to ensure critical metrics are maintained.

    MarvaLisa is trained as a detail-oriented Project Coordinator with experience delivering multiple, business-critical projects resulting in six-figure outcomes. She possesses and in-depth understanding of all aspects of project coordination and implementation. Formerly a programmer, she brings an advanced understanding of emerging technologies. Over the course of her career, MarvaLisa has demonstrated the ability to transcend cultural differences. She has a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in Technology Management.

  • Pamela began her professional career as a journalist. Working as a television producer/editor for media networks such as ABC-TV, NBC-TV and Viacom, for over 20 years, she garnered recognition for her journalistic abilities to tell powerful stories. Her skills in professional communication are the foundation of her success in facilitating the workforce and personal development platforms and curriculums.

    Pamela created a workforce development curriculum for the JEVS Prison Program at the Philadelphia Department of Prisons and facilitated re-entry education at the prisons for 9 years. As a Program Coordinator, she has created and facilitated workforce development curriculums and professional development workshops for organizations such as the Mothers In Charge, Women Working For A Change Program, The Looking Forward Program (JEVS) and The G.R.I.T. Program (PEA) in association with RTW LLC.

    Cultivating a growth mindset, and learning the value of your strengths and narrative, is the cornerstone of her success model in workforce development and engagement. “Great stories happen to those who can tell them”. - Ira Glass

    Pamela has an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University, and a Certification in Positive Psychology (CAPP) from the Flourishing Center (NYC).

  • Dave is currently the Executive Director and Head Coach of Episcopal Community Services in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ECS’s mission is to ask stakeholders to Look Up and Challenge Poverty and to do so with courage, capacity, and will. The focus of ECS is to address the issues of Intergenerational Poverty through stability, prevention, and transformational impact programs based on leading-edge brain science that provides coaching and incentives to participants to achieve economic mobility. www.ecsphilly.org

    Dave also serves as director and Chairman on the boards of The Modern Group, Ltd, Delaware Valley Floral Group, Hoober Inc., and Verus LLC., and as lead director of Crazy Aaron’s Puttyworld. His nonprofit interests include serving on the boards of the Philadelphia World Affairs Council, The Economy League of Philadelphia, Friends of Foundation Academy in Trenton, Victory Farms, Ride to Work, and The Academy of Natural Sciences at Drexel University where he is Chairperson and a member of the Drexel University Board and executive, audit, investment, and community partnerships committees. Dave is a director of the Griffith Family Foundation, and Chair of the McEwen Family Scholarship Fund. He is an advisor to the Caliper Corporation, IBM, and Journal of Social Innovation. He is a graduate of Kenyon College ’76 and The Westminster School ‘72. At Kenyon, he received his BA with honors in Economics and History.

  • James Haynes brings his inquisitive nature, challenging leadership style and inclusive management approach to his advisor role which have been instrumental in meeting and exceeding organizational goals in Corporate America and Non-Profit workplace segments for more than 30 years. 

    In his most recent position as President & CEO of Opportunities Industrialization Centers of America (OICA), James led an amazing and successful transformation where the organization experienced a National resurgence and expanded it’s primary reach and mission in Workforce Development. During his tenure, OICA was awarded over $35 million dollars in funding from the Department of Labor through a nationwide competitive bid process that expanded its signature National RE-entry program called SOAR. The program affords returning citizens an opportunity to excel in life – an opportunity to change the narrative for themselves, their families and their communities in a positive way.

  • After being certified as an adult at the age of fifteen and incarcerated for nearly fifteen years, Keenan Hudson has since transformed his life in positive ways and has used his experiences to motivate others especially youth in engaging in activities to avoid becoming involved in the justice system. He took full advantage of educational services and self-development opportunities while incarcerated and persevered using lessons learned through education, religion, and music. As a productive citizen, Keenan aims to share now his incarceration and the people who helped him could motivate and inspire those who he encounters daily. This is particularly true for youth who may be struggling to overcome negative and adverse issues that Keenan is familiar with and where he can provide positive solutions through mentoring, role modeling and teaching.

    Keenan is currently enrolled in Pierce Jr. College. He is a community activist and founder of the “Believing in the Youth movement”. He volunteers at the Institute for the Development of African American Youth.
